The Oboz Whakat Coast is an easy slip-on sandal that balances comfort and recovery. The ample ventilation windows help keep things cool and dry, while its sculpted underfoot surface and injected, dual-density EVA construction allow for comfort and recuperation, so you can get back on the hiking trail feeling refreshed sooner.
Whakat, pronounced fah-cah-TAAH, is Mori for "to catch breath, rest, have a break".
Oboz consulted and got approval from the Mori language and culture guide at Oboz's New Zealand-based parent company, KMD Brands, for use of the name. Oboz intends to honor the Mori culture in the best way - both within KMD Brands' company walls and in the broader community.
